6" industrial screw conveyor: concrete blocks
One more project that leaves our workshop for one of our customers, a concrete manufacturer. This conveyor is equipped with an Archimedys™ endless screw developed by our European partner EXVENTYS.
​
Our client called on our services to replace a steel screw damaged by the abrasive nature of the material it transports (small concrete blocks). In addition, since this equipment is located outside, corrosion is a factor that adds to the premature wear of the equipment. Our industrial technopolymer solution is ideal for this application, the modular screw is highly resistant to abrasion & corrosion and is 4 times more durable than a steel screw. Maintenance costs are reduced and the material flow improved.

12" industrial screw conveyor: plastic recycling
This is one more project that leaves our workshop for one of our customers, a plastic recycling manufacturer. This conveyor is equipped with an Archimedys ™ endless screw developed by our European partner EXVENTYS.

The client commissioned us to design and manufacture a custom-made mobile screw conveyor. This conveyor feeds a plastic granulator. This activity, which was done manually, is now carried out by our conveyor. Thanks to its wheel system as well as its adjustable tilt stand, it can be easily moved and easily adapts to several environments.

This is one more project that leaves our workshop for one of our customers, a manufacturer of excavation, snow removal and agricultural equipment. An Archimedys ™ endless screw developed by our European partner EXVENTYS equips this abrasive spreader.

Sand and salt are very abrasive and corrosive materials, respectively. Most facilities that process these materials do not have a long lifespan.
The equipment therefore degrades very quickly and the steel screws often have to be replaced. With a modular technopolymer screw, even after 4 years, this installation is like new. No maintenance or repairs are required. In the event of an accident, simply replace the damaged modules. Activity can restart very quickly, which is critical in salting operations.

Following the many problems encountered by our client and his belt conveyor (costly and time-consuming maintenance as well as problems related to the material propelled out of the conveyor ending on the ground), he decided to switch to an equipment better suited to his needs. 6" food screw: flour bags unloading
This is one more project that leaves our workshop for one of our customers, a food ,anufacturer. An Archimedys™ endless screw developed by our European partner EXVENTYS equips the installation for unloading bags of flour.

Archimedys™ obtains the MAPAQ classification for the flour bags emptying in Canada
This modular auger solution has obtained the MAPAQ classification in Canada. Archimedys™ was chosen by one of our Canadian customers to improve the emptying flour bags operations. At each cycle, our customer was losing approximately 500 g (17 once) of material per 25 kg bag (881 once). This loss was due to the metal screw inefficiency used in their process. Archimedys™, due to its modular construction and in its food configuration, allowed easy adjustment of the auger profile. Losses per bag practically disappeared!
This solution will be standardized on all flour bags emptying installations in Canada.

9" food screw: ice cubes production
This is one more project that leaves our workshop for one of our customers, a food industry. An Archimedys ™ endless screw developed by our European partner EXVENTYS equips this ice cube conveyor.
Archimedys ™ used to transport ice cubes
Ice is usually used to pack so-called perishable foodstuffs. Everyone has seen trays filled with ice at fishmongers’ to make sure the fish stays fresh.
Industries that process large amounts of fresh produce also produce very large volumes of ice. Ice production machines can make ice in different forms: cubes, crushed, blocks, etc.
On packaging lines, ice is essentially moved from one station to the other using Archimedes’ screws. However, the steel screws used for the process are suspended by intermediate levels which can cause jamming. The functional gap between the screw and the trough also deteriorates the ice cubes. Another issue that is difficult to solve is the clumps of ice that then stick to the steel screw.
Our modular Archimedys™ Archimedes’ screw solution gets rid of all those issues. The ice does not stick to the coils, thereby preventing clumps of ice from forming. Furthermore, screw construction without intermediate levels guarantees continuous flow all along the screw. The screw rests at the bottom of the trough, generating next to no ice cube deterioration. This is an important issue, because the ice quality must be faultless to come into contact with liquid foodstuffs.
